Introduction

President Amadou Toumani Touré and Mawlana Hazar Imam inaugurated the new National Park of Mali in Bamako on 22 September 2010. Hazar Imam is in Mali along with heads of state from across Africa for the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Malian Independence.

Bamako, 22 September 2010 — President Amadou Toumani Touré and Mawlana Hazar Imam inaugurated the new National Park of Mali in Bamako today. The 103-hectare Park was created under a public-private partnership between the Government of Mali and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture.

Hazar Imam is in Mali along with heads of state from across Africa for the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Malian Independence.
