In November 2010, Doha was the venue for the Award Ceremony of the 11th cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. The event was particularly special for members of the Qatar Jamat, who were jubilant over Mawlana Hazar Imam’s first visit to their country.

Fifty years after he became the Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims, the global Jamat commemorated Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Golden Jubilee with special events and activities around the world that took place between 11 July 2007 – 13 December 2008.
