Mawlana Hazar Imam delivered the 88th Stephen A. Ogden Jr ’60 Memorial Lecture on International Affairs at Brown University on 10 March 2014, as part of the celebration of the university’s 250th anniversary.

Instituted in 1965, the distinguished Ogden Lectureship has sought to advance global peace and understanding. Ambassadors, statesmen and figures of influence and renown are prominent among the past speakers, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Majesty King Hussein of Jordan and Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland who served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights between 1997–2002.
