International Programmes
A number of International Programmes were launched as part of the commemoration of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Golden Jubilee. The programmes addressed themes such as heritage, culture, devotional music and physical well-being, while promoting Jamati unity and worldwide collaboration.
RAYS OF LIGHT

RAYS OF LIGHT: Glimpses into the Ismaili Imamat, A Golden Jubilee International Programme, is an exhibition depicting 50 years of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Imamat, against the backdrop of the Jamat’s 1 400-year history. It originally premiered in France, at the occasion of the final Darbar of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Golden Jubilee, which was held in Paris.
Heritage Discovery Programme: An exploration of Ismaili heritage

Earlier this year, 114 delegates from 20 countries participated in the Heritage Discovery Programme. This Golden Jubilee International Programme focused on the exploration of Ismaili heritage through travel in the Middle East, Central and South Asia and East Africa.
Golden Jubilee Games

The Golden Jubilee Games: Celebration Through Sport was a global Ismaili sports festival held in Nairobi, Kenya from 24 – 29 June 2008. The Games attracted competitors and spectators from more than 20 countries, who participated in a celebration of excellence in sport, as well as a variety of social and cultural activities.
Ali to Karim

Rich with ceremony, pageantry and tradition, ALI TO KARIM: A Tribute to the Ismaili Imams is a docu-theatre production about the Ismaili Imamat and its contributions to Islam and Muslim civilizations over the past 1 400 years. This Golden Jubilee International Programme toured the USA between July – August 2008.
Historic Cities Programme Exhibition

The Historic Cities Programme Exhibition provides a unique lens on the role of culture in development. It features five projects of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in Egypt, Syria, Mali, India, and Afghanistan. The Exhibition is touring cities in various countries around the world.
Ismaili Economic Forum

The Ismail Economic Forum seeks to provide a springboard for increased collaboration among Ismaili entrepreneurs, strategic business alliances, Jamati institutions, and AKDN institutions. The IEF held its inaugural international conference between 26 – 28 April 2008 in Dubai.
A Mystical Journey

A Mystical Journey - Sufi Music and other Expressions of Devotion from the Muslim World features artists from Algeria, Bosnia, Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Syria performing music from various Sufi and other esoteric traditions of Islam.
